Infant Diary (2 weeks)

The Infant Diary is a practical tool for parents that helps monitor a baby’s sleep, wake, and feeding routine over a 2-week period. Regular completion makes it easier to understand the child’s daily rhythm, habits, and any possible sleep- or behaviour-related patterns.

Infant Diary (2 weeks)

The diary allows parents to record:

  • when the child goes to sleep and wakes up,
  • sleep periods (shaded in),
  • feeding times (marked with “B”),
  • waking episodes (marked with “M”),
  • as well as comments about the child’s health, location, or other relevant circumstances.

There is also space to describe the evening routine (for example, bath, feeding, bedtime story, going to sleep), which helps assess how pre-sleep habits may affect the child’s sleep.

This diary provides valuable information for both parents and the doctor, helping to evaluate the baby’s sleep pattern and, if needed, plan further recommendations or investigations.
